The World According to Leon’s offical Lexicon
It has come to my attention during my reign that you Tall Ones have woefully inadequate snouts. Instead of relying on a rich, complex Scent-Telegram to understand the universe, you depend on clumsy, noisy words. Because you cannot simply smell the difference between a dangerous Metal Beast and a majestic Royal Chariot, you humans often assign very silly, incorrect names to the most important things in my Grand Realm.
Therefore, before you dive into my Master Scent-Log, I have graciously provided this official translation Leonlect (my lexicon) to guide you so you do not get hopelessly confused. Consider it a royal favor. Study the Leonlect carefully, because a King does not repeat himself. Once you master the proper terminology of my kingdom, you will finally experience the world exactly as it was meant to be seen—through the eyes of its Commander.”
leonlect – Leon’s lexicon
People, Animals & The Pack
The King / The Commander
Leon himself, the reigning monarch of the Big Den (formerly known as Lennon before assuming his rightful throne).
The Big Shadow (aka The Crumb-Master)
Troy, the King’s dependable, heavily food-obsessed brother. He operates as the tactical rear-guard of the pack, provided there is a high probability of dropped snacks.
The Tiny Queen
Spot, the King’s small, fierce older sister who rules her subjects with an iron paw despite her compact size.
The Wise Slow One
Luna, the senior feline resident and eldest pet. A creature of ancient mysteries and unhurried movements (also known as the Slow Walker).
The Hairy Blur
Monkey, the skittish junior family cat who zips through the realm at unauthorized speeds. Also serves as the official Feline Ambassador.
The Royal Jester
Nacho, the chaotic little dog of Mummy and Daddy’s best friends. Originally dismissed by the King as a mere “Table-Scrap,” he eventually earned his place at court through sheer absurdity.
The Milk-Bringer
The noble Labrador matriarch who provided the King’s very first meals.
The Four-Leggers
Other dogs. A term delivered by the King with just a hint of aristocratic superiority.
The Leaping Beasts
Deer, rabbits, and squirrels—highly evasive furry targets designed specifically for royal pursuit.
The Tall Ones
The bipedal staff assigned to the King’s care (specifically Mummy and Daddy). Excellent at operating the Magic Portal and dispensing treats.
The Poke Doctor
Veterinarians. Suspicious individuals in sterile rooms who specialize in unsolicited prodding and the theft of royal dignity.
Nice Tall One
Any exceptional human who displays proper reverence for the King, such as the kind lady in the Loud Place or his loyal Physiotherapist.
The Grumpster
A deeply unpleasant human of the lowest order (the previous owner of his mother).
He Who Shall Not Be Smelled
The King’s first owner. A banished villain from the dark past, utterly unworthy of even a passing sniff.
The King’s Anatomy & Royal Gear
Earth-Movers
Legs. The four pillars of propulsion used to excavate gardens and conquer terrain.
The Royal Wrap
A dog diaper. Essential tactical armor worn around the midsection to prevent unsanctioned leaks onto the royal carpets.
Majestic Logs
Dog poop. Earthly offerings left behind to assert territorial dominance and update the Master Scent-Map.
Thunder-Pads
The King’s massive paws, designed to hammer the earth and announce his majestic arrival.
The Stone-Half
The paralyzed rear sector of his royal body following his illness. Though unresponsive, it is expertly managed by the Tall Ones.
The Royal Saddle / Hug-Harness
The sacred rear-support armor, supplied courtesy of Daddy, that transforms a bench-bound monarch back into a low-flying missile.
The Royal Chariot
The magnificent wheeled throne that restores a King’s mobility and allows him to dominate the perimeter at top speeds.
Nerve-Extenders / Ground-Sensors
Toes. Highly sensitive biological equipment, particularly useful for detecting Daddy’s sneaky pine-needle tests.
Actions & Pack Tactics
Scent-Telegram
A fart. A highly advanced, completely silent (though notoriously pungent) communication method—often deployed strategically so the Tall Ones blame Troy.
Crumb Song
The low, frantic muttering emitted by the Big Shadow when a dropped snack is imminent.
Treat-Extraction Maneuver
Manipulating the Tall Ones into thinking they are playing a game (like Hide and Seek) when it is actually a calculated heist for biscuits.
Great Plastic-Bag Hunt
Grocery shopping. The magical expedition Tall Ones embark on to forage for fresh meats to bring back to the Big Den.
Hand-Barks
Human clapping. The strange, loud, and frankly unnecessary noise Tall Ones make by slapping their paws together.
Grumble Code
A highly classified series of chest vibrations used to bypass Tall One surveillance and issue secret orders to Troy and Spot.
Target-Lock / The Hard Stare
Focusing an unblinking, laser-like gaze upon a Tall One until their sheer discomfort forces them to drop a piece of food.
Snout-Sweep / Scent-Recon
Deploying the royal nose to the ground to sweep for crumbs, intruders, or critical intelligence.
The Leon Devotions
Physiotherapy exercises. The luxurious daily rituals where loyal staff massage the King’s limbs to maintain royal readiness.
Hover-Sprints
The glorious, gravity-defying maneuver where the King’s front legs hammer the earth while his rear floats weightlessly in Daddy’s grip.
The Heavy Chin Drop
Resting the royal head on a Tall One’s knee. A precision comfort maneuver deployed to trigger maximum emotional response and immediate cuddle compliance.
The Heavy Lean / Bracing Lean
Pressing the full weight of the royal body against a Tall One’s leg. A structural show of solidarity — and a subtle reminder of who is in charge of stability.
Cuddle Attack
A sudden, full-body ambush of affection launched without warning against a Tall One in distress. Highly effective against Salty Eye-Water.
Shared Warmth
The ancient, sacred act of pressing fur against a Tall One to distribute royal body heat. Non-negotiable in cold weather.
Stay-in-the-Warm-Place Protocol
The dignified refusal to exit the Big Den during rain, wind, or any meteorological unpleasantness. A tactical retreat dressed as a lifestyle choice.
Snout-to-Snout Summits
Secret diplomatic meetings between Four-Leggers conducted at ground level. Classified intel is exchanged. Tall Ones remain entirely unaware.
Ugly Barks and Spit Words / Anti-Sniffing Protocol
Human shouting (Ugly Barks and Spit Words) — a baffling communication failure from Tall Ones who have not mastered Scent-Telegram. Anti-Sniffing Protocol: the bizarre social distancing rule that banned proper introductions during the Great Quiet.
Bark-Alarm / Big Bark
A thunderous vocal detonation deployed to secure the perimeter against unauthorized rustling or the wind.
The Grand Realm: Places & Geography
The Grand Realm / Master Scent-Map
The World. The entirety of the known universe, heavily annotated with invisible canine data.

The woods. A sprawling wilderness packed with an overwhelming buffet of smells and Leaping Beasts.
Biscuit Drills & Great Biscuit Drills
Dog training classes. Tedious but delicious exercises where Tall Ones hand out treats in exchange for simple obedience.
Stone Forest / Great Stone Forest
A town or city. The concrete jungles built by Tall Ones, lacking in grass but rich in discarded human food.
Indoor Mountains
Wooden staircases. Treacherous, slanted wooden terrain inside the Big Den that requires careful navigation.
The King’s Peak
A mountain. A towering natural monument worthy of a monarch’s conquest.
The Leon Devotion Center
The rehab center. The official facility where specialized Tall Ones administer massages and water-treadmill therapy to pamper the King.
The Loud Place / Cages
The animal pound. A dark, echoing chapter of the past, conquered and left far behind once his true Pack arrived to claim him.
Grand Snout-Summit
The dog park. The fenced-in diplomatic zone where Four-Leggers gather to exchange classified rear-end sniffs.
The Great Sand & The Great Wet
The beach and the ocean. Premium hydro-patrol zones where a King asserts his dominance over land and tide.
The Small Wet
A refreshing, bite-sized pool of water often found inside a cave.
Rock-Den
A cave. A naturally occurring stone fortress perfect for sheltering the Pack.
The Big Den
The family house. The central palace and primary headquarters for all Pack operations.

Concepts, Emotions & Experiences
The Big Dark
Human depression or grief. An invisible, heavy intruder that the King is sworn to fiercely protect his Tall Ones from.
Wet Betrayal
Dog baths. A deeply offensive human ritual involving soapy water and the tragic erasure of a dog’s carefully curated stink.
The Slow Down
Aging and losing mobility. The natural, dignified deceleration of a seasoned Four-Legger as they transition to a supervisory role.
The Great Storm / Wild Storm
Dog anxiety or trauma. The chaotic mental weather that sometimes overwhelms a Four-Legger, requiring a bracing lean from a Tall One to survive.
The Great Scattering
Being abandoned. The darkest fear of any pack animal—losing one’s rightful place and family.
Thunder Pad Steps
The King’s official metric system for measuring distance in the Grand Realm.
The Scent Current
Emotional energy or vibes. The invisible river of feelings that only a dog’s instinct can properly navigate.
The Long Nap
Passing away. The final, peaceful rest before a Four-Legger crosses the Rainbow Bridge into the eternal Grand Realm.
The Great Quiet / Quiet Time
COVID-19 lockdown. A bizarre historical era where Tall Ones were trapped inside the Big Den 24/7 (a massive win for the Pack).
The Big Smell / Bad Smell
Cancer or tumors. A serious, foul-scented illness that requires the utmost courage from the Pack to defeat.
The Deep Ache
Physical pain. An unwelcome internal intruder that demands extra comfort and Royal Devotions to banish.
The Modern World & Objects
Smell-Words
Dog writing. The invisible messages left on trees, lamp-posts, and fire hydrants — a rich, complex language only a Four-Legger can truly read.
The Master Scent-Log
The official historical record of all Smell-Words encountered during walkies, faithfully translated by Daddy into a human book for posterity.
Metal Beasts / Big Metal Beast
Cars and vans. Roaring, fast-moving metal creatures that the Pack rides inside to reach new Adventure Zones.
Magic Metal / Glowing Screen
A TV or smartphone. The mesmerizing, flat boxes that completely hypnotize Tall Ones for hours on end.
Salty Eye-Water
Human tears. A strange liquid that leaks from Tall One eye-holes during moments of extreme sadness, joy, or when watching certain films about dogs.
Muzzles
Human face masks. Unfortunate fabric restraints Tall Ones wore over their mouth-holes during The Great Quiet. A confusing and deeply suspicious development.
Yellow Stuff / Brown Bean Water
Beer or coffee. Daddy’s mysterious, foul-smelling liquids that provide him with energy but offer zero nutritional value to a dog.
Adventure Rope
The dog leash. A nylon tether that legally obligates a Tall One to follow a Four-Legger wherever they lead.
Two-Wheeled Beasts
Bicycles. Bizarre, silent metal contraptions that roll past unacceptably fast and demand to be barked at.
