“The Royal Saddle” was no mere collection of nylon straps and padded buckles; it was the sacred armor that transformed a bench-bound monarch back into the undisputed Commander of the Perimeter. Custom-fitted by his loyal Tall Ones, it cradled Leon’s quiet hindquarters with dignity, locking him securely into the framework of his Royal Chariot. More importantly, after the Big Op and the Stone Half, it gave him the chance to walk again. To an outsider, it might have looked like a simple mobility harness, but to Leon—who was delighted to discover it came accompanied always with one of his favourite Tall Ones—it was a symbol of unyielding dignity that allowed him to patrol his realm, chase stray shadows, and rule his kingdom with pride.
